Cadence13 Partners with Self-Help ‘Anti-Guru’ Sarah Knight
On the No F*cks Given podcast, the New York Times bestselling author shares her trademark no-bullsh*t advice on living your best life
New York, NY (January 12, 2021)—Cadence13, a leading premium podcast company that is part of Entercom’s Podcast Network, today announced a partnership with multimillion-copy bestselling author Sarah Knight for a weekly podcast based on her No F*cks Given Guides self-help book series (The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F*ck, etc.).
Known as the “anti-guru” for her hilariously profane approach to self-improvement, Knight will offer unique insights and practical takeaways to help listeners get happier, calmer, and more confident. In lively 30-minute episodes on topics ranging from getting organized and surviving the daily grind to making big life changes and improving your relationships with family and friends, Knight explains—in her signature no-nonsense, relatable style—exactly how to “care less and get more” out of life. The show includes an interactive element in which listeners are invited to submit questions that Knight will answer in a monthly audio advice column called “You Asked For It!”
The No F*cks Given Podcast will launch on January 26, 2021 on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, RADIO.com and everywhere podcasts are available. New episodes will be available on Tuesdays. Listen to the trailer and subscribe to the series here: https://link.chtbl.com/70gzDcVE.
“With everything going on these days, collective anxiety and uncertainty are at an all-time high,” said Sarah Knight. “I hope this show will help anyone who’s stuck in a quarantine rut to re-enter the world with confidence, put their happiness front and center, and leave all the 2020 bullsh*t well and truly in the rearview. I’m thrilled to partner with Cadence13 as I enter the podcast space for the first time.”
“Sarah Knight’s bold, clever and flat-out funny approach to tackling life issues will resonate so well in the podcast space,” said Chris Corcoran, Chief Content Officer, Cadence13. “We couldn’t be more excited to welcome her to the C13 family, and get this out to her fans.”
Knight’s No F*cks Given Guides have been lauded as “genius” (Cosmopolitan), “a mix of Oprah Winfrey-style mantras and Amy Schumer-esque obscenities” (Elle), and “hilarious, irreverent, and no-nonsense” (Bustle).
The series includes: The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F*ck, Get Your Sh*t Together, and Calm the F*ck Down books and accompanying journals; as well as You Do You, F*ck No!, and The No F*cks Given Page-A-Day Calendar. The first book in the series has been optioned for film by New Line, with Alexa Faigen (Bird Box) set to produce. Knight’s TEDx Talk on “The Magic of Not Giving a F*ck”—a primer on her theory of “mental decluttering” and a cheeky nod to Marie Kondo’s bestselling book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up—has more than eight million views, and her speaking events for the Marriott Hotel Group, WarnerMedia, The Wing, Women’s Health, and The Business Chicks, among others, command audiences of up to 1,000 attendees.
Knight spent fifteen years in New York City as a book editor, working with writers such as James Lee Burke, Gillian Flynn, David Javerbaum, Jen Kirkman, Jessica Knoll, and Cat Marnell. In 2015 she left it all behind in pursuit of more sunshine, less stress, and a daily abundance of pina coladas, moving with her husband from Brooklyn to the Dominican Republic.
